Upland Partners FIFA, Gamifies FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™
The Metaverse gaming giant disclosed on Wednesday that it will begin to offer football fans the opportunity to collect NFTs of World of Cup highlights as anticipations on the World Cup Qatar 2022™ continue to surge.
Apparently, the deal demands global football fans to join Upland users to collect, trade and own FIFA digital assets and video game highlights. All thanks to FIFA’s agreement to a multi-year partnership with Upland.
According to the announcement, the partnership deal will take effect in late November at the World Cup in Qatar. This will open football fans to the opportunity to learn how to participate and contribute to the virtual community-driven environment.
Fortunately, in addition to the opportunity to own collectibles of legendary video highlights from the much anticipated FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ matches, football fans can virtually support their favorite national team from any part of the world. All thanks to FIFA’s integration with Upland.
Upland to Reward Fans With Replicas of FIFA-Branded Products
Per the announcement, Upland further revealed plans to introduce the replica of Lusail Stadium and other FIFA-branded apparel it had constructed to enhance the gaming mechanics while also establishing a reward system for fans. This includes FIFA World Cup-branded villages, shops, and showrooms.
Ahead of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ Upland had disclosed a new collection game to enable fans digital collection albums across all thirty-two (32) country teams represented. The collection game comes with a limited number of mystery bundles at multiple rarities available. The collection includes country-specific team crests, boots, shirts, and historic official World Cup logos, posters, and mascots.
Football fans who are able to complete the collections will earn more points to their fan scores. Meanwhile, fans who have earned the highest scores will be rewarded with virtual replicas of FIFA’s real-world items.
The announcement suggests a massive gaming experience for football fans as the platform further unwrapped other core game mechanics it is eyeing with respect to its collaboration with FIFA. This includes the possible opportunities for fans to own special mementos of the 2022 tournament, including video highlights of the games which cannot be purchased directly from Upland.
Upland believes that no other world competition is capable of bringing countries and people from different parts of the world together like the FIFA World Cup, as noted by its Co-Founder and Co-CEO, Dirk Lueth.
Lueth further expressed his delights on the new partnership saying, “We’re excited to create a multi-touch web3 experience showcasing fun, innovation, entrepreneurialism and community as the first of many opportunities in the future of FIFA World Cups™, where fans can now collect, own, and share a real moment in history.”
